Another attempt by community and city leaders to reach an agreement on gun violence solutions ended in disappointment Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 after representatives of two organizations, Richmonders Involved to Strengthen Our Communities (RISC) and Cirginia Caucus of Rank-and-File Educators (VCORE), met with Mayor Levar Stoney and Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards at City Hall. Richmonders Involved to Strengthen Our Communities (RISC) and Cirginia Caucus of Rank-and-File Educators (VCORE). RISC and VCORE members gathered outside Richmond City Hall for a Prayer Vigil while the discussions took place.
