The COLOR Carnival hosted around Virginia, is a colorful celebration of the community, with activities for children and families, resources, and community baby showers! Birth in Colors’ Founder and Executive Director Kenda Sutton-el shared that she started this event in 2019 holding it during Black Maternal Health Week with the goal of providing activities to entertain kids so their mothers can enjoy wellness activities and resources while also educating mothers about maternal mortality.
